about

This is a spontaneous improvisation recording inspired by the melody of the song Temporal, which means storm. This is a traditional song announcing a storm is coming. Ironically, even though the song is about a horrible event, it's melody seems to have a happy quality to it. This version was recorded at PBS Studios in Massachusetts in 1998.

lyrics

Lyrics:

Temporal, temporal, allá viene el temporal. ¿Qué será de mi Borinquen cuando llegue el temporal?

The storm, the storm, the storm is coming. What will happen to Puerto Rico when the storm arrives?
